September - Initiation of new project development in Ghana
APT announces initiation of a new Tilapia fish farm in Ghana, which will include HACCP-approved Tilapia processing plant, for the preparation of fresh, skinless, boneless Tilapia fillets for exporting to the EU. The project is located in an irrigation command area near Accra. The project is designed as an Integrated Aquaculture and Irrigation system, allowing irrigated agricultural farms to diversify and include fish farming, by using the water twice: first for fish production, and then for irrigation.


August 2007- A team of APT visited Guatemala and reviewed potential sites for implementation of a Tilapia project by a local investor in cooperation with the APT.



August 2007 - The Business Plan for a Tilapia venture in Zambia is being prepared.
 



July 2007 - A Tilapia project in Ghana
- The Business Plan was approved by a group of European/Ghanaian/Israeli (APT) investors. The financial scheme is being prepared.


July 2007 - The consultancy work according to the Contract between MSME (Nigeria) and APT for providing counseling services for upgrading the catfish industry in three states of the country is progressing.
The Inception Report was submitted.

July 2007 - The Business Plan for a Catfish/Tilapia farm in the Kogi State of Nigeria was completed.
The project has been approved by the investors and it is presently under the preparation of a financial scheme.



May 2007- APT signed a contract with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Nigeria.
APT will provide consulting services for upgrading the Catfish industry in three states of the country. The project will be carried out in cooperation with Quick Projects Limited with headquarters in Lagos. The project will be completed in 12 months.

April 2007- A second aquaculture project is being initiated in Ghana.
The project combines the culture of Jatropha crop for bio diesel production and use of the cake as a component in the fish project. Investment in the project is foreign. Land has been identified and the permitting process started. The Business Plan is being prepared.


March 2007 - High Official Ivory Coast delegation visits Israel and ratifies agreement signed
A High Officials Public, Governmental and Private sector delegation from Ivory Coast visited Israel again confirming fish farming as a main target for development. The delegation met with APT personnel and visited various Israeli fish farms. The agreement signed between APT and Watec Corporation expected to materialize in late 2007


March 2007- A Zambian entrepreneur has been visited by an APT's senior representative towards implementation of a large tilapia project in Zambia.
Review of potential site agreement of the development of a Business Plan is reached.


February 2007- A large tilapia/shrimp farm in Ecuador is visited by APT's Technical Director.
Agreement in principle is reached to provide hormone-free all-male broodstock and fry ND-41 and to support the operation by biological and technical expertise. The project is under design state.


January 2007 - APT cooperation with TAHAL to develop a large scale IFFI project has been documented by a detailed Business Plan
APT cooperates with TAHAL in the development of an Integrated Fish Farming and Irrigation(IFFI) mega-project in Botswana. This is a large-scale National Development Project, based on utilizing water from the Zambezi River. The irrigated crops will be used as feed ingredients. This is a self-sufficient and independent project of production of fish, soy, corn, sunflower, safflower, poultry, edible oils, added-value products for the regional markets of Africa and the EU. The project will be based on the hormone-free ND-41 tilapia strain. Several marketing organizations expressed their interest to cooperate with this venture.
